My journey in tech began in a small, all-women developer team<\/strong> at a travel company. It was a simple and fulfilling experience\u2014we wrote code, solved problems, and bonded over the radio. At the time, I didn\u2019t realise how rare it was to see a software team made up entirely of women.<\/p> <\/p> As I advanced in my career, the gender gap in tech<\/strong> became impossible to ignore. Women made up just 16% of the workforce at the time; today, that number has only slightly improved to about 24%. Alongside these statistics, there are countless subtle barriers\u2014limited representation, exclusionary norms, and those small moments that make you feel like an outsider.<\/p> <\/p> One of those moments led to the creation of She Techs Shop. At a coding course, I was thrilled to receive a t-shirt at the end. But they only had men\u2019s sizes.
